Power Generator Platform A combination of formed parts, angle iron, steel plates and channel are assembled here on a four foot by eight foot modular workbench to form a base for generator.  Even though larger workbenches are available (ex. 5’ x 10’, 6 ½’x 13’), this smaller 4’ x 8’ table with angles bolted off the sides as supports provides an economical solution without sacrificing quality.

Fixture Highlights

• The outside of the weldment is squared up using qualified locating angles
  
  
• After welding, these angles on two sides are removed to get the part out
  
  
• Replacing the angles for the next part is achieved quickly with gage blocks
  
  
• With removable tooling blocks, a part can never be trapped after welding
